This little cabinet was my mother-in-laws. I didn't know what to do with it. So when I decided I was going to do red in my kitchen I decided to paint it RED and put my husbands collections of brown teapots in it. I really never would have thought that the brown and red would look very good together. But guess what. It looks pretty doggone good. I put white dowlies and some of my red and white potholders in there and dressed it up a bit.

OH BOY FALL IS IN THE AIR

Y'all is't almost time to can the pears and get ready for the fall garden. I just love this time of the year. Harvest moons, pumkins and indian corn. We will be planning our harvest party soon. It will be the last of October, a big bond fire with roasted weiners and marshmallows. And then comes Thanksgiving, the big feast. I am have the family here this year. We have been remodeling our little country cottage so all of our family can fit in it. We gutted the whole front of the house, the living room, dining room and the kitchen. Took out a bedroom and half of another bedroom. It has been quite an ordeal. You know when you live in a house that you are remodeling it becomes a pain. I can never find anything and we are doing the remodeling ourselves. I am so glad we have enough done this year that we can start having everyone back at our house.
